Hi, friends! It’s smart websites, podcasts, and book reading time and listening to audio books of all species! In this post, I’d like to share a few shows and movies that would be fun to catch up on during the crisis. I’ll list some kid and family-friendly shows and movies. I’d love to hear what you’re watching, listening to, or reading over on Instagram.
MUST SEE WEBSITES
TEDed – a wealth of animations on many different topics – exact and natural sciences, philosophy, art and culture, psychology, health, and many others.
BBC Ideas – a treasury of films for people interested in the world of resources from the age Short films with which you can expand your knowledge of the world
Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell – fantastic animations presenting topics from the fields of science such as astronomy, human sciences, biology, and others.
Periodic Videos – fascinatingly about chemical elements. Each element of the periodic table has its film here!
Kids Should See This – lots of tested, safe, interesting, diverse films for children on many topics. Website for kids curious about the world, which parents will also be happy to discover. The films are divided into categories: science, technology, space, animals, nature, food, DIY, music, art, animation. Highly recommended!
INTERESTING: AUDIOBOOKS FOR FREE
Students have free access to a collection of educator-selected audio books launched by Audible and Scribd. Sites’ many titles, which span all grade levels and subjects, are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
Audible also offers titles across six different languages, with easy-to-navigate categories, plus a section of literary classics. Right now, this is not limited to any set time frame. As long as the school is out, they are open and ready to stream!
